Light of The World Global partners with trusted local leaders across Africa to strengthen communities and meet critical needs. Past collaborations, like those in eastern Uganda, reflect our belief that lasting change is built through relationships rooted in trust and shared vision.
We support community-led projects that improve daily life and promote long-term sustainability. One example is a rural community center developed northeast of Mbale, Uganda, serving local families and nearby villages.
We combat human trafficking by partnering with local leaders to create safe, community-rooted solutions. In eastern Uganda, a locally led school project now serves over 150 students and provides parents with skills training—addressing the root causes of exploitation through education, family empowerment, and shared accountability.
In many rural African communities, families walk long distances to collect water that’s often unsafe—contaminated by parasites, bacteria, and runoff. The cost of this is measured in sick children, missed school days, and preventable deaths. Through local partnerships, we’re working to bring clean, life-giving water to villages where even one well can transform health, restore dignity, and give families the chance to thrive.
For many rural families, basic needs like light and cooking come at a high cost. Paraffin and firewood consume precious income each month—often forcing parents to choose between light at night or food on the table. By introducing solar energy solutions, we help families redirect limited resources toward essentials like medicine, nutrition, and education—while improving indoor air quality and daily life.
Through trusted local partnerships, we help strengthen village communities by supporting teachers, volunteers, and caregivers—while improving access to food, clean water, and essential care. Our goal is to meet real needs in ways that build dignity, resilience, and local leadership.
We support local programs that teach practical skills—from early exposure for youth to trades like tailoring and carpentry for older learners—building confidence and paths to self-reliance.
We support efforts to bring reliable electricity, clean water, and connectivity to schools and community hubs—laying the groundwork for education, training, and opportunity.
We support locally driven efforts to bring safe, parasite-free water to schools and villages—reducing illness, restoring dignity, and allowing children and families to focus on learning and new opportunities instead of survival.
We aim to support small-scale coffee growers and other local producers by opening access to fair markets—so families earn more than $1–2 per kilo and communities grow stronger through sustainable trade. Our future marketplace will help fund local initiatives while empowering producers.
We’re exploring how small, trust-based loans can equip local leaders and skilled entrepreneurs—like tailors or welders—to build sustainable income and freedom-centered futures.
